Custom auto interiors can mean different things to different people. It could mean something as simple as getting a name embroidered on a seat to having the whole inside of the car redone.
Where older cars are concerned, custom auto interiors generally means restoring the car back to the way it was when it was originally made. Power windows are a nice feature, fairly easy to add to a car, but many with classic cars will keep the handle and do it manually, as that was the way the car was intended. I can see that. Living in the south, I would have a harder time not adding air conditioning to an older car. It just gets hot. Though that kind of change can start to get a little costly. Another modern day convenience that has become a staple in our cars is our music. And by that I mean not what the radio stations want to play, but what we want to hear. Whether that means having a compact disk player or a jack for your iPod, that will be a change far and away from what the manufacturer had originally planned.
We do like our new toys though. And as a people, we love our cars. As technology frees us from so many things, making things faster, I find we are busier than we were. And we tend to spend an inordinate amount of time in our cars. Especially if you live in a large city.
Since we do spend so much time there, we like to be comfortable. So, custom auto interiors might mean just adding things here and there that will make your ride more comfortable. Maybe you would like heated seats, a TV or two in the back for the kids, a GPS system permanently installed, or just some new seat covers as yours wore out.
Pretty much anything that you can think of can be done to the interior of a car. If making a change to your interior is something you are thinking of doing, I would look around and see what all is out there. I am sure people have done things you haven’t thought of yet.
